REPENT!!!!!!!!!!

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.....

This scripture is the foundation of my of my faith. As a child I heard this scripture more times than any other scripture in the bible. It took me until this moment to understand why this scripture is so important. Jesus told Peter that he would build his church upon his rock. And when the people asked Peter must the do, his reply was simply REPENT. Peter followed up John the Baptist and Jesus commandment telling people that they must REPENT. The Hebrew definition of REPENT (SHUB) is a word that expresses a radical change of mind toward sin, and implies a conscious moral separation from sin and a decision to forsake it and agree with God. Before you get baptist, before you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, before you can start on your personal experience in God's kingdom. You must first REPENT. I grew up in a very strict Pentecostal church that preach the word of God. Since birth I have had anointing prayed over my life. I have always been a believer and I grew up knowing that I have a calling on my life.I have ran from it and for that reason I haven't lived a nearly perfect life. I have struggled with Alcoholism and womenizing. I've seen God move in my life so many times and always knew my calling, just to run from it and make excuses why I couldn't follow it. I would say I partied to much God can't use me. I have a criminal record God can't use me. I've been divorced twice God can't use me. But God always places that scripture Acts 2:38 on my heart. Repent and sin no more. That scripture also has another powerful word SHALL. Whenever you see SHALL you know that it will come to past. So as much as I said God couldn't use me Acts 2:38 tells me other wise. All I had to do is REPENT and be baptized in the name of Jesus and I SHALL recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. And God can use me to spread his word and the love of Jesus to the people that need to hear it.
Pray for my strength in the Lord.......
